Hi All, after extensive research and calls to BA and LX I am still at a loss on this question!

If a US Citizen is traveling to Olbia (Sardinia, Italy) and arrives via a connection on BA (LHR) or LX (ZRH) are they required to quarantine?
I know that if they arrive in MXP/ROM on the designated nonstop flights, they are exempt from Quarantine and can then transit to Sardinia - but what about a connection elsewhere in Europe?
