Agreed it is entirely property dependent. I've been in some HGI that were great, some older ones that were not. I've stayed at Embassy Suites that was just a queen bed, one that had two doubles and others that had king. Hampton suites seem to rarely be worth the price difference but I've seen a couple Hampton properties that I would have liked to have stayed in one of the suites.
