Now there’s an opportunity of a promo at Marriott BonVoy of cashing in every 60K points for 25K AA miles. I can cash in about 240K BonVoy points for 100K miles. I value miles over BonVoy points, as I’m hoping to do a similar route myself when Australia eventually open their borders again. I live and travel mostly in Asia nowadays and cash is usually better in value than points. For example, St Regis Kuala Lumpur goes for 35K a night, or US$ 165. In Europe, I prefer to stay in small B&Bs than large flashy properties.

With so many international partners’ flights curtailed, wondering if it’s worth transferring so much over so I’d like your opinions..

Thanks.

I have plenty of AA miles and although they are worth the most in international j or f I have not had time, and obviously not able to use them that way. As the brown guy said plenty of domestic good deals on F for 25k and even 20k. Just secured one for 17.5k. These tickets are mostly around $500 cash value so you do the math. I recently got a $44xx ticket for 20k miles (have completed travel) but that was a one off obv (and also my best redemption, although I probably do it way less than most of you lol). I do sometimes still see some $800 tickets for 20k miles if advance bought. Business class to Europe was about 115k round trip on reasonably easy to find schedules before CV19. Hope this helps.
