I still find reasonable availability for 25k one way first class domestics, so 2 RTs for 100k. A lot of my redemptions are short-haul (7500mi in lieu of $190 for DCA-PWM), so 2.5c/mi there. I don't redeem under 1.7c/mi in actual value, and I haven't had any trouble redeeming. But I am utterly flexible in when I use my miles and where they take me. You're looking at closer to 1.2-1.5cpm if you are less flexible and well under 1cpm on a bad day if you are inflexible.

240k Marriott is 5 nights at a 60k property with the 5-for-4 deal. If you actually had a 5 night redemption in mind you could squeeze more value out of 240k Marriott than you could expect to get out of 100k AA. But if you don't, then transfer them. I find that I often burn 30k Marriott on a $200 room, which if I did 8x would get $1600 in value for 240k Marriott... but the real value in Marriott points is 5-for-4 at higher $ places.
