Which SNCF card? 28 & 65 year old traveling together

My son and I will be heading back to France for the Tour de France again, obviously having skipped last year. There are new discount cards available but it's very tough figuring out which makes sense. It appears the Carte Avantage Famille might be the correct choice?
You are between 27 and 59 years old: you can choose between the CARTE AVANTAGE WEEK-END and the CARTE AVANTAGE FAMILLE. These 2 cards offer you 30% off through last minute deals, and are valid for round trips, with at least one weekend day / night spent at your destination, for the cardholder and an additional adult.
So my son, who is 28, get the card and I travel with the discount as an "additional adult"? There seems to not be an age limit on the additional adult. By contrast, the Carte Avantage Senior makes no mention of a discount for an additional adult-
You are 60 years old and over: The CARTE AVANTAGE SENIOR was made for you! This card offers you 30% off through last minute deals. It is valid every day of the week.
In the past, we each purchased a separate card but that no longer appears to be needed if my son has the CARTE AVANTAGE FAMILLE. Our travel will include staying over a weekend. It appears one limitation of the CARTE AVANTAGE FAMILLE is that it is only for round trips, not point-to-point. If I were to get the CARTE AVANTAGE SENIOR then I'm covered for the shorter trips, but not my son.

Do I have this correct? I would have no issue buying a separate card for each of us that would discount all of our travels, every day, but that no longer appears to be an option. Thanks-
