Okay, does this mean that if I have a VIP cert that expires 2/28/05, I can ticket a flight for January 2006 on 2/28/05 and if there are upgrade seats available I can use my VIP?

Likewise, if I ticket a flight for January 2006 and there are no upgrade seats available, I can't use the VIP and it expires?
