yes, it could also be more than a tech stop. BA could sell LHR-JFK and LHR-LAX using that flight, letting pax off at JFK, then going onto LAX with the seats of those getting off at JFK going empty. As long as they aren’t selling seats on the domestic segment, they’d fine. Probably not a great use of equipment given the routes in the example, but could be done.
