For some reason Airside has rebranded its MPC app and has changed its name now to be Airside Mobile Passport. They claim it’s about having a consistent design theme with other Airside products. Don’t know what to make of their claim about that since MPC was first for and from them. Seems to me that they want to sell services/products unrelated to MPC: mobile ID+healthpass; bag drop and lounge access; and who knows what else. That’s my guess about what drove the app name change — they want to monetize their MPC user base by selling them on other travel related services and products beside MPC.
