I need to book a domestic flight from MEX-CUN for August. I seem to have the option of (in order of quoted price on Google Flights):
- Volaris
- Viva Aerobus
- Aeromexico
I would normally just default to the member of a major alliance - even if paying more - but I don't have Skyteam status. I also note that AM fly a bunch of 737 MAX planes on this route, which would get me divorced if my wife notices when on board.

(I don't really care)
We would be travelling with checked luggage and a lap infant. And would also rather avoid any airline about to go bust? (Interjet I think was the latest victim?)
When I clicked through on Volaris, I noticed that the TUA wasn't even included in the quoted price on Google Flights. So I can only shudder in fear at what other fees they'll manage to add along the way.
Anyhow, are they all bad options? Or is there one airline better than the others?
