We were here for 3 nights before Memorial Day weekend as staging point for day trips to Yosemite and Pinnacles National Parks. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel was. I used a TSU to upgrade to a 1 bedroom suite. The bedroom has no windows, so it is very dark when the sliding doors are closed. The 2 sliding doors to the bedroom do not have hand holds from the living room, so it would be very difficult to open the doors if they are closed tight since there is nothing to grip onto.
In room coffee is single cup drip with 25g coffee packets by Verve Coffee Roasters from Santa Cruz, a very nice change from the usual. Globalist breakfast was $20 per person, we charged $42 each morning with tips, and everything was taken off at checkout. Hotel has installed water stations in the Fitness Center and by the ice machines that dispense filtered water and sparkling water, like the kind we see in Germany.
This hotel is nothing like a Hyatt Regency. It is more like a boutique hotel that it is, which I like. All the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful, helps being in Merced and not San Francisco or Los Angeles. I would definitely return if I am back in Central Valley.
