This means you are seeing the new RFS rewards price structure. BA made changes to RFS a while ago (2019?) and this now means that BA by default shows you a fare of 9250 +$1. When you click through to pay you are given more options of paying more cash and fewer Avios. The option in the middle which should be a cost of either 4750 Avios off-peak or 5250 Peak + cash is the closest to the old standard RFS fee equivalent £35 for a EuroTraveller seat.

The default option is not necessarily a bad thing if you are Avios rich but you are getting a poor exchange rate for the extra Avios spent vs the reduction in fees. In the UK if you use a BAPP Companion Voucher you will still be charged the "old" RFS default fee of £35 for EuroTraveller and £50 for Club. I am not sure but I suspect the same applies to the US BA Chase Travel Together companion voucher.
