Have you had any Chase BA card earning posted within the past 12 months?

I suspect the taxes are being auto-translated to extra Avios for the total Avios required. It seems that is a stealthy way for BA to double the Avios portion based on what have been discussed in the RFS thread.

According to Great Circle the distance between LHR and NCE is 647 miles, falls right in the first band up to 650 miles.

The cost of Avios should be 4750 Off Peak and 5250 Peak. Therefore you should be charged either 4750 or 5250 + the RFS cash part.

BA system is stealthy converting the cash part into Avios, with the only 1 GBP cash. That is a very poor value to convert the Avios for the cash.

Is there a way to avoid this scam?
