Received: chose a new Camry on the app, but when I got to the Avis level in terminal 1, discovered that the app had assigned me a car at terminal 2 which is about two miles away. A for-once-friendly agent went out in the 95F heat to see what he could find and had me in another Camry quickly. After so many Surly McNasty Avis agents of late he was a genuine joy, especially given my many dismal experiences at the MSP shop.

Received: After waiting in line for 20 minutes, a ragged Honda Odyssey that had been hit in the back, had pry-bar marks on the passenger side doors, was dented and dirty with unpleasantly-located seat stains, and had 36,000 miles on the odo. "No cars, either a Pathfinder or an Odyssey," "Fine. Minivan it is." Wish I'd taken the Nissan... and I had zero compunction about using it to haul about 2800lbs total of dirty wet bags of pebbles (not all at once of course).

SDF needs a Preferred setup like a big-boy airport; I go there all the time and waiting in lines at close to midnight gets really old.
