In my case with the Marriott Long Wharf in Boston where the lounge was closed but they had a restaurant offering breakfast they were offering 1,000 points per day for the lounge closure which was 250 additional points above what Marriott requires its franchises to do at that level.
But did they offer you breakfast? Or are you saying the restaurant was open for breakfast but elites were being forced to take points in lieu of breakfast?
