I am starting a long-term quest to book an award flight for 2 on Lufthansa metal via Miles & More via incidental spend, so I got the Barclays card etc. My normal airline is Delta/SkyTeam, however I also have a CSR and quite a few points there. Right now I am looking at roundtrip flights ORD > BNA and the best airline for this is United, which it appears I can have count as Miles & More if I book through United.com (despite no codeshare), but I'm hoping to book through the Chase portal since I don't have many miles on MileagePlus and so the redemption through Chase is much better for me. So the question is, if I do book these flights through Chase, is it possible to make them count for Miles & More whether than MileagePlus, and if so, what do I need to do to achieve this?
