1. Yes.
2. Beach is much more conducive to a toddler on the sunrise side as it's much wider and you still have a lot of area to play in even at high tide. Also, due to the shorter walking distance to reception, breakfast etc, 209 - 212 would be a good selection. If you don't mind the walk then go for the highest numbers on that side. Check out the recommended ones in the wiki for more info on this.
