I have flights from DFW-DXB in July both operated by Qatar on an American revenue ticket. The first flight (DFW-DOH) is an AA flight number so Qatar won't let me select a seat in advance, although they will let me for DOH-DXB. Any work around for this? This is a business class ticket and am a One World Emerald. Reached out to Qatar on the phone 2 times told not possible until plane is "under airport control" and American on twitter told me they put a note but couldn't choose a seat either.
