No. Linking is simply a notation. If you're checking bags, then when they goto add the segments for bag tag system will see the other flights.

Simply show the DL/VS agent your confirmation. Nothing unusual to connect across tickets at LHR.

When returning if your flight into LHR is scheduled to arrive with 24hrs of DL departure make sure to get refund of taxes.
