While it depends on the value, i.e how many URs you will end up using, transfer is a better method for the same value than UR portal.

Keep in mind - transfer means you only have to deal with the airline. So when anything happens, it will not usually concern Chase. Otherwise, you will have to deal with Chase as they book the ticket for you.
