You said it. KEEP THE BILL and make sure you check whether the points are posted. In my experience, only Sheraton is barely tolerable in crediting points without being prompted (even got my bonus points this summer...). Hilton, Hyatt, Le Meridien - points have to be beaten out of them, kicking and screaming.
