Also, you may need to factor in the costs to get from the hilton to the main venice island by shuttle or water bus. The shuttle €8.5 euro regardless of trips or the public water bus. I got a weekly pass and as I came back to the hilton each afternoon to go to the pool , the pass was useful. For 4 the cost could be higher.
the children might enjoy the pool and the interior courtyards of the hotel but the location beside san marco sounds hard to beat and ideal for early visits to san marco.
Being at the hotel saves on cooking for breakfast etc unless you decide to eat out all the time whilst at the Airbnb.
