It's virtually impossible that you will ever find that on the same day and same flight, especially at the saver level required for VS to book a partner award. Plus in theory the Olympics are happening later this year so there's no reason for DL to make any award seats available on those flights in case they can be purchased by people traveling with the Olympic teams and their associated parties.
You are going to have to be flexible (book with a connection, split the tickets into groups of 2 or 3) if you want to keep these seats into the future.
Sorry I was not clear. I'm not looking for 6. I lucked out last summer when there were 4+ award seats available for a lot of dates. We had 4 and then added the 2 extra.
I've been looking at 1, 2 and 4 seats. Not olympic dates. Oct, Jan, March .... just a variety of dates of unexceptional dates to avoid fall colors, Christmas, April holidays and cheery blossoms.
I'm very flexible and splitting flights is an option but there are just no awards showing across the majority of the calendar in delta One. even at the max timeframe out which is how I've purchased 4 seats for china in 2020 and then Japan 2021 nothing.
because of the VS devaluation I'm going to have to get the points back and split using ANA in the future. I was hoping to find a couple of back to back days that I could call Delta and hope that they'd just rebook to those dates anywhere over the next year (or 11 months). I know its a long shot but did read in a FB group someone had luck previously.
