Posted the forms (after filling them out online and printing/signing them) on Monday, got my details back in the post on Friday and having just checked my QF account, Im very surprised to see:

I chose the bpay option (which I haven't done yet) so I have the points without actually handing over a penny.

I do however agree that some of the other etrade signup deals may be better value if one does not allready subscribe to a investment newsletter and would like to.

Just as a correction to the earlier post of mine - the brokerage is $32.95 for your first ten trades a month - which is quite a deal more than most other online brokers. Consequently it really isnt worth trading the 3 times for the extra 2000 miles, as it works out to be $39 (extra) for 2000 mi. This is a bit over the odds at 1.95c/mile. Having said that, 3000mi for filling out a couple of forms is not too bad.
