Funny you mentioned this, as I just got a similar email for my upcoming stay at the Ren Austin. The message preceding the
link to the amenities said:
"Please view the list of standard amenities we offer to all of our guests and additional amenities you may choose to personalize your stay further. Just click on the Internet link to start planning your distinctive Austin experience."
Sounds like Marriott's trying a new method of "revenue generation," to select properties, as you pointed out.
