Not so. Bonvoy Points can only be earned on the following folio charges:
- Room Rate
- Room Service
- In-room Movies
- Phone Calls
- In-Room Minibar Purchases

The catch of course is that YMMV on everything... on my last stay I got Bonvoy credit for a little over $1000 in spa and F&B that was charged to the room, though I totally wasn't expecting it. (I credited the pool cabana to Identity but charged everything else to the room.)
But the fact that pool spend isn't supposed to be Bonvoy-earning spend is a reason why I wouldn't personally risk crediting it to Bonvoy.
