Carlos Ghosn cost cutting. The top screen is clearly from an earlier generation so they probably kept an old infotainment screen and added the higher rez lower screen later on.

Cost cutting is also the only reasonable excuse for Q50 not getting carplay/andoid auto until model year 2020
