The LGW lounge is excellent. Usually less busy then LHR T1 and definitely T4 lounges. It is spacious and comfortable. There is a childrens area indeed, and you should have no problem going in with your children if they are ticketed in J (I assume they are not flying in the back on their own being that they are 4 and 2 - although it's worth a thought ). Actually, you would be allowed to bring them in anyway, I believe. I used the lounge recently on a short-haul with my wife and two kids. We were flying in ET and no problem with entry (I'm gold).

Oh - only thing missing at LGW is a MB Spa so no massage for you or Mrs obs. There is a shower suite though!
