I have 3 pre paid. I have had it for many years. You just put credit on it when it gets low. The credit never expires, and I get I think 20 GB of data when I top up which has never expired for me. It works in the U.S. as sometimes I get a text msg saying welcome to the U.S. I have T-mobile as my primary cell service. That is on an E-sim. My 3 sim sits in the card slot. I have used 3 all over the world. Europe, Niger, several countries in the Middle East. Of course you have to look at the web site as what are the calls /min. YMMV.
