I will echo this same opinion on the A350. I don't find the D1 suites to be all that great or worth going out of your way for. The door is sort of gimmicky and really doesn't add much in the way of privacy compared with a reverse herringbone type seat. Personally I still find the J seat on the A330 to be one of the more comfortable in the DL fleet, despite it showing its age due to the quality of materials used.
