There is nothing wrong with not being able to take spicy foods. I'm not sure I understand how spicy those peppers might be, but I suspect my tolerance is likely higher than yours then. I was just confused as I have never found shishitos spicy. Then again, I don't find milk helps deal with the spicy stuff either. If I start hitting stuff that I can't handle (eg, ghost or carolina reaper), I usually go for pop/soda (whatever you want to call it). That said, When they came up with the scoville scale, they used sugar water as the weapon of choice to calm the spiciness down.

Normally I don't get a hot one but this batch had about 3. Soda to me sounds like it would work like water does which is just to spread the heat around your mouth and not tame it. Bread would work too.
