And below is the answer I got from the ORY testing center, for what it's worth:

Nous pouvons tous à fait faire apparaitre vos numéros de passeport sur les résultats des tests sur demande de votre part.
Nous prenons note de votre avis.
Cordialement"
CDG testing center replied by just asking my birthdate (???)
Don't trust what they say, because when you go to get sampled at CDG, they say this also and they take note of your passport number. But it never appears on the report.
I assume the passport # is not part of their template and they add this request in a comment field that is never read by those who make the analysis. So this is never taken into account. You need to ask afterwards for a modification of the test report.
This being said, I really don't see the interest of asking this information by some country. An identification by last name/fist name and birth date should be more than enough IMO. Just another useless bureaucratic demand.
