I looked through this and other threads and didn't see this question answered so forgive me if I missed it. I also didn' t see it addressed by Amex online so I thought I would ask.
I bought a piece of wood furniture on my Amex Personal Platinum card back in November. It was not delivered until the end of March. Unfortunately, a bottle containing liquid was placed on it and it leaked causing the bottle to stick to the wood. This must have gone on for a number of weeks because it was difficult to remove to the point when it was, it damaged the wood.
I want to file a purchase protect claim with Amex, but everything I see says the 90 days runs from the date of purchase, not the date of delivery. I looked at the policy on Amex's website and it does not define "Date of purchase." Does anyone have any experience with this? I am in the process of getting all my documentation together to file with Amex but it would be nice to know in advance.
Thanks.
