Is 35 min enough time to connect in ADD on ET?

Ethiopian just had a schedule change that impacts an upcoming flight into Windhoek. They moved he departure time of ET 575 ORD-ADD ahead by 30 minutes. ET 575 ORD-ADD now leaves 10:15 arrives ADD 8:00am. ET 835 leaves ADD 8:35, leaving me only 35 minutes to transfer for the flight to Namibia. There is only one flight a day and if I miss this I miss my safari departure the next day. In looking at flight aware and the history of ET 835, that has been leaving late for the last week. Maybe ET will change the schedule of that flight to later to enable connections for people coming in from Chicago.

What is the likelihood of making this tight connection? I was going to check bags but I will carryon if it means I will make it on to the flight to Windhoek. Does ET hold a connecting flight knowing there are inbound passengers coming from a TATL who are on their way?
edit:
I went ahead and cancelled this itinerary and moved it to UA flights toMCI- IAH-FRA then Lufthansa FRA-WDH. We have to sit in Frankfurt for 10 hours but at least I know I will have time to make the connection.
