Sorry to revive an old thread but I have a question about blocked middle seats. On our SAW - DOH - MIA - DOH - SAW flight, two segments seem to have the middle seats blocked. Oddly, these are DOH - MIA and DOH - SAW which seems a bit random as it isn't related to the flight duration but possibly all flights out of DOH have this? Do they still unblock these seats when they reach a certain load level and if so, how last minute does that tend to be? We are travelling as a family of 3 and I don't want to pre-book seats now as I would have to book a window and two aisles (such as A - C - D) and if they then unblocked the middle seats and the flight was full, we would have a total stranger seated between us... how long should we wait till we are sure of the seat configuration? Also, if the middle seats remain blocked and we go with the two aisle seats, are we still allowed to use the middle as we are a family?
