Outbound: American Airlines business class (I believe it’s 777-200ER to Seattle but can’t find much information)
Inbound: American Airlines business class (777-300ER 77W) or BA club world (777-300 (773) not yet upgraded to the suites )

or

Outbound: Delta one (767-400 to Seattle) - I believe the business class has recently been upgraded but I’m not entirely sure whether this is a reconfigured version.
Inbound: Virgin Upper Class (A350-1000 -
new upper class)

Flight times and prices are similar so I’m unsure as to which is the best option - really comes down to which is better for 6 people, better lounge at LHR etc.?

Appreciate any input.
Hey welcome to your first posting!
A few things that may affectt your decision:

Do you have frequent flyer status with BA?
BA charge for preallocated seating in Club unless you're Gold/Silver/Bronze so this may influence your decision.
Are you all adults travelling or are there young children/infants involved? BA is probably better for families with young children in the older config but keep in mind everything is very fluid and aircraft types and the cabin config between old and new are liable to change between now and when you travel. Club Suite isn't ideal if you've got young children due to the private nature of the suite.

From the options you've shared then AA would be my preference but I'd book them as BA codeshare flight numbers in order to have their book with confidence features associated with the booking.

I don't really know enough about the DL/VS products to know whether I'd give them a whirl. As you might expect there will be a gravitas towards BA/AA in this forum.
