The answer to this is "it depends". It depends on who is listed as the credit card merchant on the transaction. If the transaction is executed by Gogo, Viasat or Panasonic, the answer is no. If the transaction is executed by AA Wifi Sale (it says "AA WIFI SALES FORT WORTH TX") on your statement, then yes you do get the credit.

I believe that the only way that you get AA WIFI SALES FORT WORTH TX as your credit merchant is when you do a monthly plan - purchased on the ground. Otherwise, the payments seem to be routed through Viasat's or Gogo's portal.
