I've heard that while the Hua Hin Hyatt hotel property is nice, the town and beach are not partic good. Also, the weather is often cloudy.
I stayed at these properties just last month. I think it was still rainning season and I did encounter periodic rain for 2 days during my 3 days stay at Hyatt Hua Hin. The beach was clean and water is clear but there is a warning sign for jellyfish. In comparsion, Bali has a dramatic tide effect that can change the beach from sandy beach to grassy, rocky shore. I think Bali has a bigger town area with more stores to shop. The garden at Bali Hyatt does have more nature feeling but the room is very tired (bed not comfortable, very small bath room). Hua Hin has very nice swimming pools and rooms. I heard that Bali Hyatt is over 30 years and I was wondering why Hyatt still keeping this property and did not build a new one.

I have also stayed at the Grand Hyatt Bali, Sheraton Bali Nusa Dua and Marriott Hua Hin. My impression is that the Hyatt Hua Hin is a great redemption for my Hyatt points and compared favoritably against other similiar resort hotels I have stayed.
