What happens if I forget or intentionally leave my checked bag at the MIA airport carousel while I travel out of town for 3 days? Can I simply retrieve it with lost and found 3 days later or will it wind up at another hub airport? Will I get penalized by AA for being negligent? If you decide to do this, I would not eave anything in the bag you want to keep. Why would it go to another hub airport?
If AA picks it up, they will keep it for you until you show up to claim it.
