Additional of a new person (spouse or not) to an existing PNR is not possibly and is standard policy acrosss the indusrty.

You will have to cancel the purchased ticket and start with a new ticket for the two of you. (and no prior ticket credit)


One reason for this is the fare / fare class / fare basis for PNR must be common / the same for everyone on the ticket. The underlying industry systems are not capable of having a common PNR with different travel details. Not likely to see that anytime soon.
