The Texas-EWR-STT routing came up because it allowed us to get into St. Thomas in the morning. The majority of the other flights arrived in the afternoon and given that we were there only a couple of days we wanted to maximize our time on the ground. Also, spending 5-6 hours in an Oasis'd AA 737 isn't my idea of a good time. Plus, by the time we booked AA wanted something like $800 for Y on the DFW-STT direct.
I felt really tired with the EWR hotel - checkin by 1:30a and exit by 6a :-)
mind you Im super loving this thread. I just wasn’t loving that LGA/EWR “transfer” :-)
ps beer and coffee for breakfast ftw. I love daytime drinking and feel that most people would enjoy it. There’s definitely a big stigma about drinking alcohol during the day.
