Those are the official rules, yes, but my experience has been AS phone agents will SDC allowing swapping of co-terminals (so long as they're actually listed as co-terminals in fare rules) or routings that add/remove a stop keeping same origin/destination or co-terminal. Of course there's a chance an agent won't do it, or they someday start enforcing the official SDC rules, but so far I've never had an issue. Don't believe the app would allow it, but phone, chat, or text should be fine (but if $ to add fare for change in taxes for a stop, you'd want to call).
