When I first received my DC a number of years ago (when I was in my late 30s) I was running high balances almost right away (essentially 100% air, hotel and car rental charges). About six months in, I had some exceptionally large business charges and I got a call from the DC credit department. They were very forthright and professional - they asked if I could send an early payment for that month only. I did so, and never heard a peep from them again (I don't know if it made a difference, but I've never used the 62-day payment feature - I always paid within the current month's cycle).
