Or rather, how does it compare to staying in Brooklyn or Queens (assuming Manhattan is the "focus")?
We stayed in Manhattan for years but once we discovered the Hyatt Jersey City on the Hudson we've never stayed anywhere else. The PATH station is right outside the door. Takes only 4 minutes to get to the World Trade Center. It is a bit of a walk to then connect to uptown subway trains if that's your destination. An alternative if you're going uptown is to take the PATH from outside the hotel to the Newport station and transfer there to the PATH train destined to 33rd street. We love this hotel and as a Globalist really enjoy the free breakfast in the VU Restaurant with its windows facing Manhattan.
