For the last week or so I've had a yen for ribs and finally decided to check out threads here by doing a lookup on the word "ribs".
So, I ended up with a ton of threads, all multiple pages and this one with zero comments.
So, nominated for best ribs outside the US is:
BAR-B-BARN on Guy Street in downtown Montreal.
Multi-level; cozy bar w/many Canadian brews available.
Always a line there (place seems to be a favorite w/Montreal Canadiens' players; walking distance from Bell Centre).
The ribs are one type - with sort of a honey-molasses sauce and come with slaw + pick one other side from: french fries; baked potato; mashed potato; baked beans; or my particular favorite, Spanish rice.
On the way out you can purchase a jug of their sauce.
