There's Roys/Rum Shack/A-Bays, your typical bar restaurant fare, overpriced for what it is but it does the job (and it isn't a $52 Nui pizza!).

Lava Lava over at Waikoloa Beach is a gem, great food and drinks - slightly pricy but worth it imo. That's Uber-able during the day, but the Ubers seem to dry up at night so I wouldn't bank on them to get back (or get back from Kings/Queens). You can walk over to it via the path outlined earlier in the thread, but it is a touch sketchy if you're not good on your feet, a big of shingle to traverse.

There isn't any shuttles going at the moment, they're all parked up.
Highly recommend the Lava Lava Beach Club, go there every time never disappoints still has live music every day as well. The old Big Island Steakhouse/Ippy's in the kings shop is now Foster's Kitchen had a really good meal there. Also new to the king's shops is OBISIC (Original Big Island Shave Ice Company). They have Shaved ice and Ice Cream - amazing creations and selections. Went to the Rum Shack on Friday, service was great in a great atmosphere, but the food and drinks were hit and miss except the Malasadas. It was our second time there and decided it would be a dessert only place from now on.

Uber/Lyft were challenging for us, used three times (Airport to Hilton 2:00pm, Hilton to Mauna Lani 5:00pm, and Mauni Lani to Hilton 7:00pm) and every time no drivers in the area had to keep checking for at least 15 minutes then had to wait for arrival. Driver numbers way down according to drivers we had.

Went to Tommy Bahama for Dinner all excellent, but Nui prices. Had a $50 gift card that made it more reasonable. Almost every restaurant is available on OpenTable and I highly recommend getting reservations a few days in advance. We were in Kauai in early May and didn't do this and had trouble getting into places. Most places were at capacity because most hotels don't have everything open (Hilton only had Nui, the Tap room with a limited menu, the Luau. The lagoon grill finally opened Saturday May 22 with KPC coming this week)
