Hi,
There are quite a few shops /restaurants at the king's shops and Queens Market place ( a 15 min walk on sidewalks) from the HWV ( a trolley shuttle bus also ran from the hotel for $2 each way- not sure if it still does.)
Shuttle currently shut down, but heard they are discussing restarting this summer
The Island Gourmet Markets is a good supermarket/souveneir place and a very good deli with an outdoor seating area)
The wine bar there has food as well
Charley's thai cusine was a good thai and very reasonably priced for a resort area.
The Marriott had a reasonable buffet 2 nights a week a few years ago. Not sure if it still runs.
Marriott has a Taco Tuesday and Beer and Pizza nights, walked through but didn't eat there
I generally walked there ( when I was with my mother we took the trolley bus) both places were very nice to look around with a number of shops. We went up , had lunch, got items at the Island Gourmet to take back to the hotel ( ie water-soda oj etc- cheaper than at the hotel), some souveneir shopping then the trolley bus back to HWV.
The walk back was nice also.
Regards
