The trams ( not sure if the boats are still The boats are not running, the tram is

Talked with Andrew, one of the longtime boat and tram drivers and they are looking at the boats returning in the second half of June

The swimming pools ( Kona pool has the large waterslide, waterfalls and a sandy pool area at the far end plus spa pools ) Pools are as described by you, preferred the Kona pool although pool bar service is slow
The Kohala pool has smaller waterslides Perfect for kids though!

Ocean tower Adult pool is closed as they are doing construction right there and are using for staging.

Hawaii cultural activites ( not sure if the putting course by the ocean tower is available Didn't see a putting course (actually played the golf course and a Par 3 goes right by the Palace Tower)

Putting course has been gone for a few years now. I believe that one was at the kings shops near the shell gas station, but I didn't go by there and see if it was operating last week.

Parrots in the lobby area Not any more sadly
Flamingos can be seen close to the luau entrance Didn't notice any flamingos

All animals that were on islands in the boat canal or in the viewing areas by the Luau are gone, relocated to a sanctuary elsewhere on the island

It's $20/room per day, but can be used in most on site F&B outlets (except 2 places, one of them was the Coffee shop near lagoon tower, can't remember the other) and can be used anytime on whatever you wish.

A tip if you get post dinner and realize that you didn't use your $20, which DOES NOT rollover, head to NUI take out and they have coolers of all kinds of beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to stock your fridge.
