I read the Hilton benefit to be more flexible. Let's say you stay for one night....you can either use your credit towards drinks in the bar that night, or for breakfast the next morning. If I'm wrong I'd like clarification.
I'm happy that whatever the dollar amount is that it is per person, not per room. I guess it remains to be seen if the dollar amount covers a breakfast each, or a cocktail each. If it falls short, then I will have a problem. But after ruminating a bit, I do like the flexibility, because as has been pointed out, sometimes you have to leave so early that you miss breakfast. A notable exception which I hope never changes is the crack of dawn Hampton Inn go bags. Might not be exciting, but a muffin, apple and water were appreciated when you were on the shuttle to catch your 6 am flight.
