I imagine the shape/size of one's head plus how much hair there is can make a huge difference and the manufacturers are trying to do a one-size-fits-all product, so the outcome is probably less than ideal for most.
Right. I think for me, it's about the amount of pressure on my eyelids and face. If I can somehow have it so that the "tightness" is on my brow ridge, it's much less uncomfortable. So when it's a larger eye mask, I have more room to shimmy it around.
