It doesn't happen often but on more than one occasion my flight to Orlando was cancelled or had a substantial mechanical delay and the airline has moved me, at my suggestion, to an on-time flight into Tampa. That necessitated renting a car back to Orlando. Can't imagine not having my drivers license with me at all times.
